Wetlands Northwest LLC was founded by Robert King whose is in his 20th  year of  natural resource consulting which includes working with several established environmental and civil engineering firms in the Puget Sound region.

Robert is recognized as a Professional Wetland Scientist by the Society of Wetland Scientists (SWS) and is in his thirteenth year of environmental consulting in Washington State.  He has undergraduate degrees in finance and biology, and graduate work in ecotoxicology from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  He has specialized training in wetland science from the University of Washington’s Wetland Science and Management Certificate Program and completed a summer internship at the Washington State Department of Transportation Wetland Monitoring Techniques.  Robert also acquired valuable experience while in the private sector working on projects that took him throughout Washington state.

In his spare time Robert has been a forest steward with the Green Seattle Partnership helping restore Seattle Parks property with the Friends of The Burke-Gilman Trail at Sandpoint.  Presently, Robert shares his love of the game of ice hockey coaches his 15 year old son in the the Seattle Junior Hockey Association.  He is eagerly awaiting the 2021-2022 inaugural season of the Seattle Kraken in pursuit of another Stanley Cup run to accompany the championship the city won back in 1917.
